Tropical Climatology: An Introduction to the Climate of the Low Latitudes by Simon Nieuwolt,
Climatology, the scientific study of climate, is not only concerned with explaining why a locations or regions climate is like it is but also with describing the nature and availability of the climate resource for a wide range of human activities. This subject is of great relevance to the tropics as climate in many ways controls the lives and economic activities of the approximately 2400 million people living in tropical regions. Tropical climates also have effects that reach far beyond the limits of the regions where they actually prevail: the global general circulation is largely driven by the export of considerable amounts of heat energy from tropical to extratropical latitudes: a large part of all atmospheric water content originates from the tropics, and intermittent tropical phenomena, like El Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO), not only influence the climates over extensive tropical areas but many parts of the extratropics. The climate sensitivity of populations and economic production in the tropics also makes these regions especially vulnerable to any negative impacts arising from human-induced climate change. Tropical Climatology aims to provide a geographical viewpoint on the physical processes in the tropical atmosphere: to offer explanations of how a locations climate is a product of these processes and to highlight the implications of tropical atmospheric behaviour and climate change for those living in the tropics. This is the second edition of the book and reflects the substantial developments in the field of tropical climatology which have taken place over the two decades since the publication of the first edition.

The Theological Implications of Climate Control: Reflections on the Seasons of Faith
The Theological Implications of Climate Control: Reflections on the Seasons of Faith
Every life is marked by moments in which reality seems to fall short of our deepest hopes, and we are left with more questions than answers. In these reflections, Brian Erickson witnesses to the hope that such moments of uncertainty can give rise to a dynamic and life-giving faith. Seeking refreshing ways to bring God's story into the chaos and confusion of our everyday lives, Erickson finds that "the amazing and frightening thing about it all is that when we begin to let ourselves be formed simply by the hearing of those words, by the telling of those stories, God's story starts to be told through the events of our own lives. Our days become living scripture." The Theological Implications of Climate Control offers a new and imaginative voice for seekers and seasoned Christians alike.

BMW Steptronic - BMW Steptronic is the registered trade name for BMW's automatic transmission that operates similarly to Porsche's Tiptronic, allowing more control over the transmission, but still employing a torque converter.

BMW ODB1 Conversions - A popular BMW ODB1 conversion to the BMW E36 (3 series, 1992-1999) is to convert the post-1996 OBD2 models to OBD1. This is typically done to race-prepared cars, as it disables some of the pollution control functionality, and may prevent the car from passing an emission test.

Rolls-Royce BR700 - The BR700 family of engines was developed by BMW and Rolls-Royce plc through the joint venture company BMW Rolls-Royce to power regional and corporate jets. Rolls-Royce took full control of the company in 2000 and is now known as Rolls-Royce Deutschland.

Control Car Remote Control Locomotive - A Control Car Remote Control Locomotive (CCRCL) is an old diesel locomotive with the traction motors and fuel tank removed, cab windows plated over, and remote control equipment installed. It is coupled to a locomotive (or a consist of locomotives) which lack remote control equipment; it is set to be the lead locomotive in command of the others, controlling them through their multiple unit control connections.

In THE CHANGE IN THE WEATHER, veteran New York Times science reporter William Stevens presents the first comprehensive look at the dawn of a new era of climate, in which conditions once regarded as extreme will become increasingly commonplace. In the climate-controlled buildings of today, moisture problems affect not only the useable life expectancy of the structure, but the comfort and health of the following petrol-burning engines: An overhead camshaft-V8, generating 700 Nm (Madison, 2003) of torque at 1,800 rpm (Consumer Guide, 2003) (model year 2000 or later)]] ...in addition to either a manual or automatic transmission, and a rear-wheel or all-wheel drive system (dubbed 4MATIC).
